ClickNotes uses macOS and Windows Accessibility APIs to type text directly into the active field of any app — your EHR, practice management software, email client, or even a browser tab.

Works with Cliniko, Nookal, Halaxy, Jane App, Power Diary, Best Practice, Medical Director, and any other app that accepts keyboard input.

Button types

Buttons do more than
just type text.

Every button in ClickNotes can be configured to perform one of four actions. Mix and match across a panel to build exactly the workflow you need.

Inject text

Types any pre-written phrase, sentence, or multi-line template directly into the active field. Use variables like today's date or patient name to personalise on the fly.

Inject image

Pastes a stored image directly into the active field — useful for diagrams, anatomical charts, consent forms, or branded letterheads you use repeatedly.

Open a link

Launches any URL in your browser — a patient resource, a reference tool, a booking page, or an online form. One click instead of switching apps and searching.

Open a file

Opens any file on your computer — a treatment protocol PDF, an exercise handout, a referral template, or a consent form — without leaving your workflow.
